A Model That Works: How Your Shopping and Donations Fuel Our Mission
The Skiatook Emergency Assistance Center operates on a simple, sustainable model: our thrift store funds our mission. Every dollar you spend at the SEAC Resale Shop is recycled directly back into the community. When you buy a piece of furniture or find a great deal on clothing, you are helping a local family in Skiatook, Sperry, or Avant keep their lights on, put food on the table, or receive a scholarship for their education.
This self-funding engine allows us to be a reliable, non-profit resource for our neighbors. We are a registered 501(c)(3) charity, and our strength comes from the community supporting itself.
Stories of Hope
Supporting Recovery and Hope
When a local family faced an unimaginable tragedy that changed their lives forever, SEAC stepped in to help with the long journey home. After months of rehabilitation, home modifications were needed to make daily life possible again.
Our community rallied together—local contractors donated labor, businesses provided materials, and volunteers offered their time. From accessible bathrooms to wheelchair ramps, we helped create a safe, welcoming home for someone who had fought so hard to get back to it.
"We don't have to say goodbye anymore. SEAC helped bring our family back together."
