Emergency Assistance & Food Pantry in Skiatook, Oklahoma
SEAC provides confidential emergency assistance to families in Skiatook, Sperry, and Avant, Oklahoma. Our nonprofit organization offers financial help, free food pantry services, utility bill assistance, and educational scholarships for local residents facing hardship.
Our Assistance Programs
Every program is funded through our thrift store revenue, ensuring 100% of donations go directly to helping families.
Food Pantry
No family in our community should have to worry about where their next meal is coming from. Our food pantry provides free groceries and toiletries to individuals and families facing food insecurity. We offer a selection of non-perishable items, and when available, fresh produce, bread, and meat. We also prepare special holiday meal boxes for Thanksgiving and Christmas to ensure families can celebrate together.
If you need help with free food in the Skiatook, Sperry, or Avant area, please contact our office.
Utility Aid Program
Falling behind on bills can be overwhelming. SEAC provides emergency financial assistance to help qualifying residents pay their electric, water, or natural gas bills and avoid disconnection. To apply for utility aid, the bill must be in your name and for your current residence.
Our goal is to provide a safety net that helps families in Avant, Sperry, and Skiatook maintain essential services during a crisis.
Emergency Relief
Life is unpredictable. When unexpected crises strike, such as a medical emergency, a house fire, or a sudden loss of housing, our Emergency Relief fund is here to help. This assistance is designed to address critical, short-term needs that are not covered by our other programs.
We work with families on a case-by-case basis to provide a hand-up during their most difficult moments.
Educational Scholarships
We believe in investing in the future of our community. Each year, SEAC awards $500 educational scholarships to graduating high school seniors from Skiatook, Sperry, and Avant. These awards are designed to help students with the costs of tuition, books, and fees as they pursue higher education or vocational training.
Students should speak with their teachers about the program each spring. Teachers recommend students who would benefit from scholarship support.
